Product Description Say "goodbye" to tearing, stinging, irritated eyes when chopping, mincing, dicing or slicing onions and their relatives - leeks, scallions and chives. Designed to eliminate a chef's exposure to the irritating vapors when handling onions, RSVP's Onion Goggles replace the common folkloric remedies; burning candles, chewing bread, pre-freezing onions, whistling while chopping, etc., that don't work. The experts agree, the best way to prevent painful eye irritation created by exposure to onion vapors is to wear contact lenses or goggle type equipment when cutting onions. The key to RSVP's Onion Goggle design is that these goggles wear like glasses. Unlike true goggles, they slip on and off easily with disturbing a hair on your head. The comfortable foam seal blocks out those irritating onion vapors and the slightly tinted and fog-free lenses add to the maximum clarity of the goggles. RSVP's hip, unisex Onion Goggles are available in black, white and pink, and fit most face shapes. They will not fit over glasses. A protective storage case keeps them clean and scratch-free. Also protect your eyes from smoke, spattering, and intense heat when cooking on the barbecue. Featured on The Martha Stewart Show, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Consumer Reports, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Seattle Times, The Seattle P-I.

designed not to fit anybody July 25, 2010 iuiiiuuiuu (USA) ordered 3, , I threw them in the garbage after discovering they are design not to fit anybody. . it can only fit the narrowest of faces. . ., the angle of the curvature is too sharp, this would not be a big deal is it were flexible, but the plastic is too rigid to conform to variety of face profile.
Shweeeet. May 11, 2010 Lori Rule (Ottawa) I have to be totally honest. I didn't think these would work when I first got them. I figured they'd be super uncomfortable or just completely ineffective. When I tried them though, it turns out they're pretty awesome. They work against the terrible onion fumes of doom... They fit snugly around the face... And they just look precious, no matter who's wearing them. ;)
The only downside is the fact that I can't wear my glasses with them. Granted, they'd have to be a pretty crazy shape in order to be able to fit anyone's glasses, but it'd be nice to be able to not cut myself. :D
all in all, definitely worth it...especially if you wear contacts, or don't need/wear glasses.
They Work! April 23, 2010 Anne of Virginia Beach (Virginia Beach, VA United States) I was a bit skeptical that these goggles would work but they do! I have tried all the other "tricks of the trade" and never had success.
I bought the pink ones as they were the best price-a bit goofy looking but they work so well-so who cares how they look!
Great for biking. April 5, 2010 K. DeLap (Chicago, IL USA) Not sure about the kitchen aspect of these goggles - I got them for biking. They are great transitional eyewear, when it is too cold for just frames and too warm for full ski goggles. They don't fog up super easily, though I have scratched one lens (while it was in my bag - guess I should have been using the case it came in).
So, great multipurpose goggle - kitchen or bike!

Love my onion goggles! I've tried everything and these really work! Was doubtful because they do not fit snug but did not shed a tear while cutting onions. arrived on time and in good condition
