I am not going to write out a long out review that is sub par to other reviews. What I will say is the Kindle is a great device that has a long battery life, no glare, and is very easy to use. The one thing that makes me love the Kindle even more is using Calibre to grab news feeds from all different online sites. This is what truly makes the kindle shine. Nothing like having the news fed automatically to your device from you PC every 6, 12, 24 hours depending on how you set it up. It even makes all these news sites look like you are reading a news paper.
My one quirk with the Kindle was the rebooting issue. However, Amazon seems to have resolved this now with the 3.0.1 update and now I couldn't be happier.

Pros: Great contrast, good size/weight, and ample storage. Received NextGen Kindle on first day of availability.
Cons: Frequent soft and hard reboots when reading purchased materials or PDF files. Especially frequent with material that has large amount of images, or when highlighting passages.
Kindle Support rep has just acknowledged the support team is tracking this problem and has asked me to plug in the Kindle to power source and leave it on for the next 24 hours so they can download a software update to my device. She was confident that the problem would be resolved. Stay tuned....

Amazon's Kindle does exactly what the Website states. I've found the kindle to be an excellent addition to my book collections. Using the kindle is simple enough; however, the way the new Kindle organizes books while an improvement from previous kindles is still in need of improvement. Books are organized not by the folders but by collections. This is not a problem for those who are starting a collection of ebooks or have a small collection. Larger collections will take time to sort and organize, though the kindle comes with a search making it easy to find your book regardless of where it might be. The kindle does not come with games; however, I think the experimental web browser and free 3G internet service make up for this. The new Kindle is easy on the eyes, like most e-ink readers, and reads like a newspaper as far as contrast goes. The weight of the device is light and feels comfortable in either hand. I give the Kindle four out of five stars for it's design, contrast, and easy to use functions. While the organization features still need improvement, I highly recommend and have been doing so to friends and family. If you love books and want a way to take your library with you, pick up a kindle; you will never put it back down.

The product is good, but the shipping sucks. I ordered the Kindle on the 4th of Sep and it is now the 10th, still not shipped. Why not? It said it ws in stock. I have no answers as to why......not happy.

I have a wi-fi version with lighted leather cover. Page turns are really fast, and you see the improvements on display and battery life as well. Today I've updated to the firmware version to 3.0.1 and now it seems running much more faster.
